बरबत

बरबत (Barbat, بربط‎) या ऊद (Oud, عود‎) एक नाशपाती के आकार वाले तंतुवाद्य (तारों वाले संगीत वाद्य) को कहते हैं जो अरबी, इब्रानी (यहूदी), यूनानी, तुर्की, उत्तर अफ़्रीकी और उनके आसपास के अन्य क्षेत्रों के संगीत में प्रयोग होता है। इसमें परदे (फ़्रेट) नहीं होते और इसका तना बहुत पतला व छोटा होता है। कुछ संगीतकार इसे आधुनिक गिटार का पूर्वज यंत्र मानते हैं।Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Celestino Deleyto, Maria del Mar Azcona, pp. 115, University of Illinois Press, 2010, ISBN 9780252090110, ...
