किसी सतह से स्वतंत्र बहते हुए अथवा ठहरे हुए जल की ऊपरी सतह की दूरी को जल स्तर कहते हैं। अधिकांशतः इसका प्रयोग भूमिगत जल के लिए किया जाता है।
