अर्ध-स्वचालित राइफल (semi-automatic rifle) स्वयं लोड करने वाली राइफल है जो एक बार ट्रिगर दबाने पर एक गोली छोड़ती है तथा फिर ट्रिगर दबाने पर दूसरी गोली। इसके विपरीत पूर्ण स्वचालित राइफल तब तक गोली छोड़ती रहती है जब तक इसके ट्रिगर को दबाकर रखा जाता है (बशर्ते गोली समाप्त न हो जाय)।
