जीवन्मुक्त

जीवनमुक्त का शाब्दिक अर्थ है 'जीवित रहते हुए मुक्त'। ऐसा व्यक्ति जिसने वेदांत दर्शन में पूर्ण आत्म-ज्ञान और आत्म-बोध प्राप्त किया है और कैवल्य या मोक्ष प्राप्त किया हैThe Vivekacūḍāmaṇi of Śaṅkarācārya Bhagavatpāda: An Introduction and Translation edited by John Grimes "A mukta is a mukta, with or without a body.110 It may be said that a knower of the Self with a body is a Jivan Mukta and when that person sheds the body, he attains Videhamukti.
