किसी सांख्यिकीय नमूने के मानक विचलन (स्टैण्डर्ड डेविएशन) को उसका मानक त्रुटि (standard error (SE)) कहते हैं। यदि माध्य से विचलनों के वर्ग का औसत निकाला जाय तो उसे 'माध्य की मानक त्रुटि' (standard error of the mean) कहा जाता है।
