मुहन्नद

मोहन्नद (مهند, Mohannad) या मुहन्नद या मोहनद अरबी भाषा में लड़कों का एक नाम है। इसका शब्द का अर्थ अरबी में तलवार होता है। मुहम्मद से मिलते-जुलते रूप के बावजूद यह उस से बिलकुल अलग अर्थ और जड़ें रखता है। 'मोहन्नद' नाम वास्तव में 'अल-हेन्द' यानि भारत (हिन्द) के नाम पर पड़ा है क्योंकि पुराने ज़माने में अरब देशों में भारत में बनी तलवारें सर्वोत्तम समझी जाती थीं।Muhammad: Islam's First Great General, Richard A.
