Erika no
Etymology
From nb Erik a male given name feminine name-forming suffix. The base name nb Erik is the monophthongized continuation of Old Norse non Eiríkr male given name, from Proto-Norse gmq-pro *Aina-rīkijaʀ sole ruler or gmq-pro *Aiwa-rīkijaʀ everlasting ruler. The first element is related either to Proto-Germanic gem-pro *ainaz one, alone, unique or to gem-pro *aiwaz age, eternity, while the second continues gem-pro *rīkijaz kingly, powerful; ruler.
In some modern cases, the name may instead have been inspired by the botanical genus Erica genus, from Latin la erīcē heather, from Ancient Greek grc ἐρείκη ereíkē heath, heather.
