Dutch
Etymology
First attested as angrina in the beginning of the 9th century. Likely derived from nl odt angar grassland, pasture. A proposed derivation from a toponym gem-pro *Anghrinâ, which appears the be the source of non angr narrow bend, is formally correct but far-fetched. Compare nl Angerlo.
