Italian
Etymology
A combination of the verb suffix it -are (where the a was reduced to e) or it -ere with it ho, first person singular present indicative of it avere. This traces back to a Vulgar Latin periphrastic construction of forming the future using the infinitive of the verb + la habeō, e.g. it parlerò, from it la-vul *parabolāre habeō.
