Etymology
Possibly derived from a reduced form of bla alg-pro *akwina·ni clothing, or completely bla alg-pro *-a·ni 1 if surface analysed as alg-pro *akwin- to wear + *a·ni.
This is possible due to Cree inheriting both *akwina·ni and *akwin- as cr akwanân shawl and cr akonêw to wear respectively.
