Old Church Slavonic
Etymology
cu :inh sla-pro:*-ostь
From cu sla-pro *-ostь. Some authors claim that the suffix cu -ость is merged from double suffixation sla-pro *-ot-tь, but there much evidence that the suffix sla-pro *-ostь already existed in Late Proto-Slavic. Also, compare xcl -ստ.
