Etymology 1
bn inc-obn -অঅ -aa -aẇa, from bn pra -𑀅𑀅 -aẇa, -aẏa, from earlier pra -𑀅𑀓, from the ending pra -𑀅 of a-stems with the pleonastic extension pra -𑀓, from bn sa -क -ক.
The stem ending itself yielded the short inc-obn -অ -a, which became Schwa deletion in Indo-Aryan languages lost in Middle Bengali c. 14th-15th centuries CE, with the current bn -ও coming from the coalescence of the long inc-obn -অঅ -aa.
