Yoruba
thumb|right|Ìrosùn
Etymology
Possibly, but unlikely from yo ìròsùn camwood. Cognate with idu Orosu, its Ùròsùn, igl Òlòrù, bin Òrúùhù, urh Ùɹ̝̊ùɹ̝̊ù, ig Ùrúrù, ig Ùlúshù, nup Rùsù, igb Òròsù, fon Lósò. Proposed to be derived from yo alv-yrd-pro *ò-lòsũ̀, it has remained consistent across Volta-Niger, with the exception of the variation between /s/, /r/, and /h/, a common occurrence. Perhaps ultimately from a root similar to yo alv-von-pro *-lòsù
