Ancient Greek
Etymology
grc abstract noun :af grc:-ῐ́ζω<id:verbal> grc:-μός<id:abstract noun>
grc of the suffix grc -μός appended to verbs in grc -ῐ́ζω / grc -ῐ́ζω -ῐ́ζομαι, such as in grc λογῐσμός (grc λογῐ́ζομαι + grc -μός). In some cases terms ending on grc -ισμός can be analyzed both as arising from this rebracketed suffix and as arising without rebracketing, such as the alternative analyses of grc Ἑλληνισμός as either grc Ἕλλην Greek ισμός or grc ἑλληνίζω to Hellenize μός.
