Norwegian Bokmål
Etymology
nb ine-pro *sed-
Possibly from Old Norse Herjulfssetr, from the male given name non Herjulfr + non setr farmstead, dwelling, literally “Herjulfr’s farmstead”. The proposed derivation is uncertain. The second element non setr is from nb gem-pro *setrą seat, dwelling, from nb ine-pro *sed- to sit.
