en 1961 w:William Watson China Ancient People and Places https://archive.org/details/chinabeforehandy00wats/ w:Frederick A. Praeger 48 https://archive.org/details/chinabeforehandy00wats/page/48/ From Honan to the east and north-east stretches the domain of a different Neolithic tradition, the Lung Shan culture. In Honan at least it can be shown to be later than that of Yang Shao, for at a number of sties in this densely inhabited part of the Central Plain Lung Shan pottery has been found stratified above Yang Shao remains and below the Bronze Age level.
