Finnish
Etymology
fi hauki pike pike (fish) vuori mountain mountain. The reason for the name is not clear, as there are no nearby bodies of water with names containing fi hauki pike, and there is no obvious reason for a point of elevation (after which the parish/municipality is named) to be named after a fish.
Pronunciation
hauki-vuori
Proper noun
