Usage notes
Deuterium should be called by the chemical symbol "2H", not "D".“IUPAC: Provisional Recommendations: Chemical Nomenclature and Structure Representation Division”, IR-3.3.2 Therefore, the proper notation for diatomic deuterium is "2H2", not "D2".
