Proper noun
en Yeshua Jesus” or “Joshua; a traditional Biblical transliteration, now uncommon among Anglophones as pronunciation of initial Hebrew yodh can be more clearly represented by English grapheme ⟨y⟩ whereas the most common modern English pronunciation of ⟨j⟩ has become [d͡ʒ].
