Pronunciation de /ˈhɛ.trɪk/ [ˈhɛ.tʁɪk] de De-Hattrick.ogg <<Germany>> (<<Berlin>>) Noun m,,s de football a hat trick; a player’s scoring three goals in one match; as distinct from English usage, the goals are often required to be consecutive, i.e. with no other player of either team scoring in between (see below) Usage notes The term de lupenreiner Hattrick pristine or flawless hat trick refers specifically to a hat trick where the three goals are scored consecutively and in one half of the match (such that not even halftime comes in between). The last is also called de Dreierpack pack of three. The British concept of a “perfect hat trick” meaning three goals scored with the right foot, left foot and head respectively, is not known in German-speaking Europe. Declension m,,s
