Etymology
According to R. Hennig, a misspelling of pt Ilhas Selvagens, the Savage Islands, similarly to many other names (like en St. Luis and en Salirosa), although the real islands were probably discovered somewhat after the Satanazes name occurs for the first time, being only hypothetical before it.
