Appendix:Variations of "buda"
English
Etymology 1
From en hu Buda, probably borrowed from a en sla - personal name, though an alternative theory deriving the term from en sla-pro *voda water as a translation of en la Aquincum, via la aqua water, is also popular. The folk etymology connecting the word to Bleda, the brother of Attila Attila the Hun, is historically implausible.
