Etymology
mul la-new -, from mul grc κέρᾰς horn + grc ὤψ face. One of the first named genera was Ceratops genus itself, which lent its name to the group, although it is considered a nomen dubium today as it has no distinguishing characteristics that are not also found in other ceratopsians.
Proper noun
infraorder order Ornithischia herbivorous, beaked dinosaurs which thrived during the Cretaceous, in what are now North America and Asia. Early members were small and bipedal, but later forms were large quadrupeds.
