fi Parkka- nen (i)nen. An Eastern Finnish surname, probably from Karelian vernacular form of fi ru Парфений (compare fi Parkko). Forms of the surname are also attested in earlier records from Western Finland; these are probably from place names containing fi Parkki (for which, compare fi Parkkamäki).
