thumb|Den gamle brannstasjonen på Bjørnli
Etymology
From nn bjørn li. Probably related to nn Bjørndal, a small uninhabited valley behind Fagerli. The houses in the area were built mainly after 1913, but the name is probably older.
Pronunciation
nn /bjœɳli/
Proper noun
nn proper noun
nn village co/Trøndelag c/Norway, close to Løkken Verk
Usage notes
Defined form *Bjørnlia or a possible spelling as *Bjørnlid are never used. Pronunciation with /ɲ/ instead of /ɳ/, expected in local dialect, is not used (at least today), what can point to a young origin of the toponym. Of this reason, spelling *Bjønnli is never used.
