Etymology
An older borrowing, probably from lb fr moufle mitten, from lb la-lat muffula, possibly of Germanic origin. The word may have been merged with fr mule slipper, which was borrowed into western gmw-cfr - as gmw-cfr Muul (Ripuarian), probably via lb dum mule, lb muyle.
