EOP

EoP English Etymology The fandom slang sense is an initialism of "English-only peasant". Noun en w:external occipital protuberance. en fandom derogatory A fan of foreign works (chiefly Japanese) that does not speak their original language and, as a result, has to wait for translations in order to enjoy them. en JOP en https://vndb.org/t25187.3 What actually happens? The Visual Novel Database Generally asking JOPs about anything is useless, though. 9 times out of 10 they prefer being smug, and telling you "that you can't read it anyway", and that "more people better not read it", over offering any details about the VN in question (besides bragging about the hard to read prose, saying "look at me, I am so proficient and superior!"). Most of the untranslated high rated VNs on the site, are that way, because JOPs want to feel like the elite that is high above the "EOP pleb", and not because they are actually THAT good. 2026-07-01 what-if17 1 July 2026 https://web.archive.org/web/20260701034150/https://vndb.org/t25187.3 1 July 2026 en 2025-04-07 visualnovels 1jtp2g9 mlwatiw What are some Japanese only visual novels that are top notch? [deleted] People who think these random eroge are the peak of the genre are a minority of basement dwellers who want to feel like for the time spent learning JP they got something over EOP en 2016-01-01 visualnovels 3yzbl7 The year 2015 in review - VNDB Edition [deleted] If we take a look at the bigger Japanese releases of 2015, or at least those who were somewhat popular among the The Visual Novel Database VNDB userbase, we see that new releases have small surges, which usually never last longer than ~4 weeks. It seems people capable of reading Japanese like to read their VNs at/around release date. All Japanese VNs with a decent amount of votes are also PC only, so stuff like Steins;Gate 0 fares pretty bad on VNDB. Maybe this does have to do with availability and text hookers, but since I'm an EOP I can't say for sure. https://web.archive.org/web/20230605050209/https://www.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/3yzbl7/the_year_2015_in_review_vndb_edition/ 5 June 2023 en 2023-05-23 ihitcow visualnovels 13pmm5g jlcg98t A sudden epiphany Idk where you’re finding these deep intellectual discussions, r/visualnovels main export is JOPs jacking each other off and shitting on EOPs en 2023-06-29 fallenguru visualnovels 14mgtur Call for donations!
