English
Etymology
From en cy Mabinogi instruction for young bards, en William Owen Pughe 1795 1 1 the Welsh grammarian. The name originated from cy mabynnogyon, which occurs at the end of one of the four branches, and is now considered to have been a scribal error, mistaken as the plural for en cy mabinogi, which is already plural, derived in an unclear manner from cy mab son, boy.
