de:+ (Speise)
Etymology
Probably from de Pick Pick, Piäk pitch nds -ert noun-forming suffix.Pikkert in Westfälisches Wörterbuch at de Wörterbuchnetz Compare Westphalian nds picken, piäken to stick, northern de pekig covered in sticky dirt. It is conspicuous that the vowel of de Pickert, unlike that of the aforementioned words, is short in all dialects. However, this may be due to the shortening effect that following nds -er- commonly has in nds -.
