Khiamniungan Naga
Mount Khülio-King
Etymology
Christoph von Fürer-Haimendorf, in The Naked Nagas (1939), recorded the exonym kalyo kengyu ('slate house dwellers'). This form is phonetically identical to the toponym Mt Khǖlìo kīng, from which it likely derives. The incorporation of yu in kengyu is cognate with nyù which explicitly correlates to augmentative suffix emphasizing large or huge, common to say khǖlìo kìngnyū in the olden days.
