Georgian
Pronunciation
Suffix
ka suffix
ka archaic Genitive, ergative, dative, and instrumental plural suffix used in the archaic declension.
Usage notes
In Modern Georgian, this suffix is no longer productive in everyday speech, having been largely replaced by oblique cases built on ka -ები. However, it remains frequent in formal, legal, academic, and religious language, or proper names, such as fixed names of certain institutions (e.g., ka მეცნიერებათა აკადემია Academy of Sciences), as well as fixed idioms.
