Appendix:Variations of "klas"
Lithuanian
Etymology
From ine-bsl-pro *-tlo. Compare lv -kls -kls, -kla, prg -clo, sla-pro *-dlo. From ine-pro *-tlom *-tlom, -dʰlom (agentive suffix). The Balto-Slavic reconstruction of -tl- is preferable to -dl-, whereby the unusual consonant cluster would have undergone assimilation in Slavic and dissimilation in Baltic. Compare the related sla-pro *-teľь.
