Latin
Etymology
Borrowed from la xum 𐌉𐌊𐌖𐌅𐌉𐌖𐌌, of uncertain origin; possibly from xum *𐌐𐌉𐌊𐌖𐌅𐌉𐌖𐌌 town of the woodpecker, with loss of initial P, from xum 𐌐𐌄𐌉𐌊𐌀 woodpecker << la itc-pro *peikā << la ine-pro *(s)peyk-.
However, it could instead be from a pre-Etruscan, pre-Umbrian la qfa-sub - (eastern la itc -); compare la Igilium.
