Dutch
Etymology
Attested as Bollendorp in 1680. Difficult to interpret due to a paucity of old attestations. If the toponym is old, a derivation from dum Bolle a personal name and dum dorp homestead, village, settlement is possible. If the toponym is young, a derivation from the plural form of nl bol bulb and nl dorp village is possible.
