Abdullahi Audu Sule (born 26 December, 1959) is a Nigerian engineer, businessman and politician who has served as governor of Nasarawa State since 2019. He was elected in the 2019 Governorship election under the platform of the All-Progressives Congress (APC). Quotes ''I’m very interested in getting the average person in the state to acquire skills that can make them to become useful to themselves and be self-reliant. Everything that we do in Nasarawa State comes from our vision for the state We are going to continue to do a lot to enhance women and youth empowerment in the state. I pray that one day Nigeria will have a Christian-Christian ticket, and it will win. That’s what I pray to see. I think it is normal for Senator Kwankwaso, who I respect a lot, to say that because he’s opposition. He cannot say anything good in that manner. So when he said that, it is expected of him to say that. I don’t think he will tell me today that another governor within the APC is going to tell you he’s awful. Another governor is going to tell you he’s an albatross, That’s where federal character came in, following Section 15 of the same constitution that also talks about ethnicity. There is no place where it talks about religion. Section 14 didn’t talk about religion. Section 15 didn’t talk about religion And that one was actually talking about four steps, sustainability. What that means is to ensure that everything we have done so far could be sustained. So, in totality, we have only three summits. By 2024, two years later, we had the next summit, which is Industrial Renaissance. Now that we have entered into all the MOUs, let us practicalise all these MOUs; let us make sure that they are working. I recall that we had the last one in the month of May. It was a summit to discover Nasarawa State, because at the time, the state was being seen only as a civil service state; as if we had no resources, we had no competencies, we had no capacities. I’m happy with the way things are going. But just to correct the impression, when you say we had so many summits, we had only three in totality. We have done more than just taking a map. A thorough exploration has been done and this one is not only for Nasarawa State. To be fair to the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals, they have done a complete survey of the entire Nigeria Secondly, the amount of minerals present in the state. I just told you that we are lucky we have all the seven critical metals in Nasarawa State and only two of them are not in commercial quantity. So, there is great potential for those who are interested in mining. I will tell them one; we have a state with great potential, just like I said in Lagos. We have a state actually that is very lucky among so many states that almost 90 per cent of the state You can actually go and plant yam this year, cassava the next year, rice the next year and the rest of that, and they will all give you very good yield. So, that’s one huge advantage Nasarawa State has that so many states don’t have. I think, I call him my mentor, Senator Al-Makura has every right to say everything he has to say. You can say that I avoided television, I avoided responding, I avoided Abuja completely so that I don’t get dragged into any kind of competition with him about what to say or not to say in front of the team. He started his career with a bank. After that, he moved into the National Assembly. Business in Nigeria is about contact. If you know the right people, you will be able to bring business.” The issue of Senator Wadada came as a result of so many factors… In 2003, Wadada contested for the House of Representatives and won. When he became a senator… if you have a free and fair election for me, I will win my election. And he did. So he has shown by all standards that he has the capacity to win elections.” External links Category:Governors category: Nasarawa State Governor category: living people in Nasarawa Category:1959 births Category:Politicians from Nigeria Category:Businesspeople from Nigeria
