Quotes
I travelled with the squad. I was the 19th man and I experienced everything because the coach knew that I really, really wanted to play in the final,
I must say that every player would wish to be part of this team because of the kind of charisma and understanding that we have within this club.
We understand each other and we have a 12th force with the players and the management.
We have a role to push each other and we take nothing personally on the field of play when we shout at each other.
That's one of the things that makes us tick

I agree that Mbuthuma has been under a lot of pressure and criticism from supporters.
However, I believe Mbuthuma doesn’t enter the field of play and decide, ‘Today, I want to miss chances
Every player, when he enters the field, wants to do well and win for the team.
But I think sometimes we just have to look at football through the eyes of a real person who analyses the game.
There’s a lot that Mbuthuma contributes to Orlando Pirates on the field, especially when it comes to ball retention, good hold-up play, and ball recovery when Pirates want to apply pressure; he then recovers the ball quickly.
Like I said, a good striker is still judged by the number of goals he scores or creates.
In terms of creation, he has created a couple of scoring opportunities and made space for his teammates.

It took about four months for me to score my first goal.
It was tough, but these are the moments that help us grow as superstars and make us understand why we chose to play the game,
These types of situations are the ones that make us better players.
That’s why we have to keep believing in ourselves and working hard.
All you need is just one goal, and everything goes back to normal
Lehlohonolo Majoro explains why Yanela Mbuthuma is key for Pirates, May 2026, FARPost by Mauwane Raophala
Having seen Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs finish first, second, and third respectively, it's really encouraging for us as football fanatics because it's been a long time since we've seen a table look like that,
Not undermining other teams—we've seen AmaZulu under Coach Arthur putting their hands up to showcase that they're not just here to add numbers,
Sekhukhune is among those, Polokwane has always been a surprise package, and for the first time, we saw Stellenbosch finish outside the top eight.
I'm sure they will want to fight their way back into the top eight and return to winning ways.
It's going to be very tricky and very interesting.
There's no such thing as 'small teams' anymore.
I believe each and every team that is prepared and willing to go the extra mile to get three points will get them.
