(About Gianni Letta) Berlusconi's right-hand man has a great influence in the circles of the Holy See: he had it in the time of John Paul II and he has it especially today with Joseph Ratzinger. La presa di Roma, BUR Rizzoli, 2009. Trumpismo oggi: Make Putin Great Again. Trumpism today: Make Putin Great Again. From a post in the x.com official profile, 28 February 2025. I confess. I'm an Inter fan. I've been following Inter since I was six years old. I dreamed with Ronaldo. I enjoyed with Mourinho. I hit my head against the wall several times watching the most unlikely teams led by Gigi Simoni and Héctor Cúper run on the wings, including Gresko, Macellari, Centofanti, Cirillo, Coco, Fresi, and Wome. I cried, like everyone else, for the only May 5th that matters in the lives of Inter fans: not the one sung by Alessandro Manzoni, who cares, but the one about the disasters of Gresko and Di Biagio. It was 2002, the year of that May 5th, and the reasons why Inter lost (and lose) were valid yesterday and are valid today too: Inter did not win (and they do not win) not because of the referees or Luciano Moggi or Totò Riina or P4 but because the opponents, and in particular Juventus, scored and scored more, played and play better, they were wrong and they are wrong less. Yet, from 2002 to today, the Inter fan, still shocked perhaps by that damned May 5th, stopped looking at the world with sincere eyes and created a virtual reality within which he agreed to become the prototype of the perfect Five Star Movement player [...] The news of the last few days – with extensive and documented and ridiculous controversy over the alleged errors committed by referee Rizzoli during last Sunday's match won by Juventus over Inter 1-0 – are only the tail end of a bigger problem that has its roots in a specific moment in our footballing life: when, in 2006, a show trial was held against Juventus, in which all the frustrations of the anti-caste of Italian football were first skillfully transformed into sporting offenses and then amiably transferred in pillory form to all talk shows. It was at that precise moment that the average Inter fan – who, thanks to the decisive support of an Inter fan placed at the top of the Italian Football Federation (Guido Rossi), managed to win a championship by default (2005/2006) and a subsequent one in the year in which Juventus was sent to Serie B (2006/2007) – he chose to fuel the sports media circus by bringing barroom chatter to prime time and the front pages of newspapers, pushing it beyond the confines of evenings with Aldo Biscardi with the same effect that would be had today if prime time were to feature the unfiltered phone calls recorded by Radio Radicale during the Radio Parolaccia era. [...] but unlike the others, the Inter fan has the unique distinction of being the perfect intersection between the frustration of the people (the Curva Nord) and the indignation of the bourgeoisie (the Gazzetta dello Sport'). And until the Inter fan gets a surge of pride – and organizes a nice vDay against the ultras ready to wave white handkerchiefs at the stadium dreaming of winning league titles with Guido Rossi and slow motion – he will continue to fuel a perverse system in which the Ingroia wallow and in which the attempt to impose one's post-truth through the courts will always be considered legitimate. It applies in football, it applies in the rest. External links Category:1982 births Category:Living people Category:Journalists from Italy Category:Bloggers from Italy
