Girls Trip is a 2017 comedy film about four lifelong friends who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Music Festival. The trip—a reunion for the group known as the "Flossy Posse"—devolves into a hilarious, chaotic weekend of drinking, dancing, brawling, and romance that ultimately tests the strength of their bond. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee. Written by Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver. Dialogue Lisa: Dina, can we just bring it down a notch? Dina: Oh, can we get some dick this weekend? Leave her alone. Lisa: You know what? I need you to use your lady mouth. Dina: I need you to use your lady mouth. Dina: We’re gonna be staying up late, drinking, making memories that we can laugh about the rest of our lives because that is what a girls trip is for. Ryan: No one has the power to shatter your dreams unless you give it to them. Lisa: Ryan, speak. Ryan: And I refuse to give anyone that power again. If anything, I hope… that me revealing my truth inspires you to realize your own. Thank you… for listening. Lisa: We love you, Ry! We love you, Ryan!
