Quotes
(To avoid slander) When you haven't seen something, you don't have to talk about it; if you have, be silent.
Quoted in Antonio Borrelli and Emilia Flochini, Santa Margherita Bays, santiebeati.it, 12 October 2019.
O Santa Vittima, attirami a te, | cammineremo insieme.
"O Holy Victim, draw me to you, | we will walk together. May I suffer with you, | that's right. | Do not listen to my repugnances: | that I may do in my flesh | what your sufferings lack. | I embrace the cross, I want to die with you. | It is in the wound of your Sacred Heart | that I wish to take my last breath."

Quotes about
The mission experienced by Marguerite Bays is the mission that belongs to every Christian. During the catechism he made an effort to present the message of the Gospel to the children of his village in words they could understand. He selflessly cared for the poor and sick. Without leaving his country, he had his heart open to the dimensions of the universal Church and the world.
Pope John Paul II, Beatification of Maria Theresia Scherer, María Bernarda Bütler and Marguerite Bays, 29 October 1995, Rome. Marguerite Bays urges us to make our existence a path of love and reminds us of our mission in the world: to proclaim the Gospel on every occasion, both appropriate and inappropriate, and especially to young people. It invites us to make them discover the greatness of the sacraments of the Church. How, in fact, will today's young people recognize the Savior in their path, if they are not introduced to the Christian mysteries? How will they be able to approach the Eucharistic table and the Sacrament of éPenance, if no one makes them discover its richness, as Marguerite Bays had been able to do?
