Mica Javier

Mica Cecille Javier-Sillona (born July 29, 1993) is a Filipino singer and actress. Quotes “I have consistently trained with Ivana Chubbuck herself, in her Masterclass, at her LA studio. I have also been able to work on a few small film projects in LA to build my acting credits up. I’ve explored working with some acting/talent agents as well as put more focus on content creation, which opens opportunities for me to be infused in the Hollywood scene. I know it takes time, hard work, and patience to build all over again but it’ll be worth it because I am proud to represent pure blood Filipinos in everything I do,” Mica Javier on working on her international career: ‘It takes time, hard work, and patience!’, Rhea Manila Santos (19 August 2023) “As soon as I got my travel permit and paperwork, I was ready to come back to the Philippines. It is my true home and I missed my family, house, and friends so much. Nothing compares to the Philippines and I want to make sure I keep my connection to home strong. I’m co-producing and starring in a feature film that is currently in post production called Songs For Selina, which will tackle untold narratives about challenges young artists face while navigating the music industry—stay tuned for that.” Mica Javier on working on her international career: ‘It takes time, hard work, and patience!’, Rhea Manila Santos (19 August 2023) “The only main thing that changed with us is that we are bi-continental now; mostly living in the US, but traveling back to the Philippines to take care of business too. If anything, marriage has made my relationship with Jay R stronger and more meaningful,” EXCLUSIVE: Mica Javier returns to PH to resume showbiz career, Rhea Manila Santos (17 August 2023) “We flew to LA on an emergency trip in June 2021 to be with Jay R’s family when his dad was going through a health scare. I thought we would stay three months max but the situation prolonged. Once we passed three months and the lockdown was still heavily implemented in Manila, we just decided to stay in LA and use the time to fix my US paperwork since we weren’t able to do any of that after Jay R and I got married. That process required me to stay in the US indefinitely, until I got my green card. We had to pivot quickly and transition our lives into actually living in the US right away. We also saw it as an opportunity to begin building a foundation where we could grow our careers stateside,” EXCLUSIVE: Mica Javier returns to PH to resume showbiz career, Rhea Manila Santos (17 August 2023) “I was fortunate to have booked a teleserye Init Sa Magdamag with Star Creatives that we shot during the pandemic. I was in and out of lock-in taping for six months before we flew to the US, which was a blessing because when we first arrived in the US, Init Sa Magdamag began airing on TFC. I met a lot of Filipinos in LA that saw and followed my work on the show. It was the first time I realized the positive impact of the work we do as artists in entertainment, on OFWs. Now that we’ve been in the US for some time, I do miss actively working on set on TV shows and movie projects but I’m also excited to expand my career and opportunities here,” EXCLUSIVE: Mica Javier returns to PH to resume showbiz career, Rhea Manila Santos (17 August 2023) ”When we flew to LA after being stuck at home for one year and a half, we were very culture shocked at how open everything was. We got our vaccines for free at the pharmacy, COVID tests were all free, masks weren’t too strictly implemented—only required if you go into a store, etc. Then within a month after that, LA dropped the mask mandate, and it has been open ever since. Imagine Jay R and I coming off the plane with full quarantine gear, face masks and face shields, disinfecting sprays on hand—we were definitely over prepared with precaution while everyone else in LA were living like normal. It took us a while to adjust back to normalcy but once we did, life moved forward pretty quickly,” EXCLUSIVE: Mica Javier returns to PH to resume showbiz career, Rhea Manila Santos (17 August 2023) External links Category:1993 births Category:Singers from the Philippines Category:Living people Category:Filipino female models Category:Singers from Manila Category:1993 births Category:New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study alumni Category:21st-century Filipino women singers Category:Actresses from Manila Category:Models from Manila Category:Filipino television actresses Category:Filipino film actresses
