From the speech to the session of October 25, 2022, in response to Giorgia Meloni's inaugural speech. Verbatim TRanscript Session N. 4, 25 October 2022
Now, with Giorgia Meloni sitting at the head of the Italian Government, as President of the Council of Ministers, all women know that they can be born into a family as unlucky as the others, they may not have someone to recommend them, they may not live in the limited traffic zone, they may not frequent good living rooms, they may not have particular fortunes, but, if they have the ability, determination, desire to study, desire to understand and honesty, women can get anywhere. This is today's message.
Someone feels “sovereignty” and is frightened, probably without ever having read the Constitution which is based on the sovereignty that belongs to the people.
Look, merit is the first social elevator. It's all there, because, if there's no merit in school, if everyone at school comes out levelled down, with the former sixty-eight political 6 of memory, the one with the advantage isn't the best and the smartest, he's the one with the richest family behind him!
I would like to point out that, after her victory, Giorgia Meloni received compliments from leaders around the world and seems to me to be anything but isolated from an international point of view.
[...] we've been saying the same clear words about fascism for years, condemning fascism, condemning the racial laws.
[...] the freedom to manifest is sacrosanct, but the freedom to manifest must never limit or prevent someone else's freedom to manifest one's thoughts.
Unfortunately, we were right and the Government was wrong. Unfortunately, it limited itself to very serious personal freedoms, such as the freedom of the right to work, the freedom of the right to live one's life socially, without having a scientific reason for it. (p. 55-56) [Referring to the green pass]
Quotes about
Unfortunately, when Donzelli spoke in the chamber this morning, he was dressed as the Honorable and not as Minnie. It would have been more credible.
