Hoda Abdel Moneim

Hoda Abdel Moneim is an Egyptian lawyer and human rights defender. She formerly served on Egypt's National Council for Human Rights and was a member of the Egyptian Parliament from 2012 to 2013. She has worked on women's and children's rights and documented human rights abuses, including enforced disappearances. She was arrested in 2018 and has remained in detention despite completing a five-year prison sentence in 2023.
