thumb|Greg Woolf Greg Woolf (born 3 December 1961) is a British ancient historian, archaeologist, and academic. Quotes Greek and Roman religion depended on images, quite literally: there were no sacred laws or scripture and certainly no organised church or priesthood to police practice and correct error.
