Quotes as J. R. Roberts
The room smelled of sex and sweat, and the man wrinkled his nose as he approached the bed. That was another reason why he preferred killing women to sleeping with them. It was so much cleaner, more sanitary. . . . He took a silk scarf from his pocket, this one red. He took hold of her hair and pulled her head off the pillow so he could wrap the scarf around her neck. Her eyes fluttered sleepily, but by the time they opened the scarf was already tightening around her neck. She opened her mouth to scream, but no sound came out except for a low gurgle, which her bed partner could not hear. The man kept the pressure on the scarf until the woman’s tongue protruded obscenely and her eyes had rolled up into her head. He released the pressure then and knotted the scarf around her throat.

He took her throat in his hands and pushed her down onto her back. He placed his knee on her, just below her breasts, and began to squeeze her neck. She had already lost her breath from the pressure of his knee, and now she was fighting for air. As his hands closed on her throat, tighter and tighter, she began to beat on him with her fists, having no effect. . . . He leaned on her, straightening his arms, and he felt something give beneath his knee. He ignored it and continued to squeeze her throat until her squirming stopped.
