Saint Stephen with a roseIn and out of the garden he goesCountry garden in the wind and the rainWherever he goes the people all complain ...Did he doubt or did he try?Answers aplenty in the bye and byeTalk about your plenty and talk about your illsOne man gathers what another man spillsSaint Stephen will remainAll he lost he shall regain

Dark star crashes pouring its light into ashes.Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis...Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusionShall we go, you and I while we canThrough the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

Ripple, lyrics by Robert Hunter
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshineAnd my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,Would you hear my voice come through the music?Would you hold it near as it were your own?...

There is a road, no simple highwayBetween the dawn and the dark of nightAnd if you go no one may followThat path is for your steps alone.Ripple'', lyrics by Robert Hunter
A box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you throughBelieve it if you need it, if you don't just pass it onSun and shower, wind and rainIn and out the window like a moth before a flameAnd it's just a box of rain, I don't know who put it thereBelieve it if you need it or leave it if you dareAnd it's just a box of rain, or a ribbon for your hairSuch a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there.
Box Of Rain, composed by band members Phil Lesh and Robert Hunter,
