How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, known in Thai as Lahn Mah,(หลานม่า, lǎːn mâ, Grandma's grandchild) is a 2024 Thai comedy drama film directed by Pat Boonnitipat (in his directorial debut) from a screenplay written by Pat and Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn. It stars Putthipong Assaratanakul and Usha Seamkhum in their debut feature film roles. In the film, M (Putthipong), a university dropout low on money, volunteers to take care of his terminally ill grandmother (Usha) in the hope of pocketing an inheritance.
M: Do you ever get lonely?
Amah: I wouldn't call it loneliness. It's part of life's process.
Amah: I do have a problem with the day after Chinese New Year. When all the leftovers from the night before are in the fridge and I know I am going to have to eat them all alone
Amah: With Soei, it's best when he stays away.
M: Why's that?
Amah: Because it means that he's okay when he doesn't come around.
Amah: I "zoi sia" you.
M: Are you cursing me?
Amah: I said, "Thank you." How are you Chinese? You can't understand a single word.
Rainbow: When I go to school, I'll be a doctor so you can get better, and we'll play cards.
M: I thought you said the caregiver would be rewarded.
Amah: I don't have anything else to give. You don't have to look after me anymore.
M: Didn't I take good care of you?
'Amah: You took good care of me. Very good, actually.
M: Why won't you ever let me come first place? Where's my spot? Where the hell do you put me? Give me an answer! Answer me, Grandma! You're a fool... for loving the wrong person.
M's Mother: When Grandma fell over on Tomb Sweeping Day, she told the doctor she had stomachaches and found blood in her stool. So they did an exam of her intestines. The results came out this morning. Grandma has cancer. It's in the final stage. The doctor said she has a year left.
M: [playing a video game not listening] Dead! Man, I told them to pray first. Damn it.
