Schreck founded the music and performance collective Radio Werewolf, and was the co-founder of the Abraxas Foundation. He was formerly a Satanist and affiliated with the Church of Satan and the Temple of Set, but later disavowed both and left the Church of Satan. He later became a Buddhist. He collaborated musically with his former wife, American singer and musician Zeena Schreck. He has written several books and directed the 1989 documentary Charles Manson Superstar. Quotes I consider 'human' to be an ugly word. I think most of humanity is debased and deformed, and evolution[arily] unfit to continue. Interview on Tom Metzger's television program Race and Reason, 1988, quoted in Sunshine 2024, p. 159 There’s no such thing as evil. It was a typical act of a human being. And if you want to look at human history from the day that we came, from the primordial swamp that creation began in, what you’re calling evil is part of human nature. 1990 television interview with Bob Larson Underneath the whole Christian theology and the whole organized structure of Christian dogma is what I feel is a masochistic, almost love and wallowing in despair and death. Christians love nothing more than to see suffering so they can go and whine and moan over it and help people. And feel how good they are that they’re helping people. It’s a very morbid religion. You worship a God who’s nailed and bleeding to a cross. Everything in the Bible drips with morbidity and death. 1990 television interview with Bob Larson I don’t think anything can be more than a part of yourself. You can’t look at something and not react to it, and be a part of it. I mean, we live inside our own minds. And, you know, people have to understand that, I don’t believe in objectivity, or being detached. Tooney, Chris (1994). "To HelL.A. and Back with Nick Bougas". Sewer Cunt. Vol. 1, no. 1. Copenhagen. p. 27 A manichaean devil. And I think the human race requires a villain, a counterpart, something to use as a scapegoat. And that really is what the idea of the devil is all about, the scapegoat, the thing that is driven out of society because all of Man’s fears are put on that thing, and that’s certainly what Manson represents. Tooney interview, p. 28 I think some people should be frightened by their dark side, because they'll get themselves killed if they explore it too much. They're too weak to really look into it. I think there’s a type of person who can look at reality in it's completeness and accept all of it, and desire to change it as they will. But most people... I wouldn't give power over their own life to them, I think they should be controlled. As far as I’m concerned, we live in a posthumous world. Tooney interview, p. 28 You see, I'm not really trying to be a social avatar in any way because there is absolutely no hope to save this western civilisation. It's dead, it died, it’s long over with, and I think most people are not aware of that, but I believe it to be a literal fact, we are like ghosts walking through the ruins of a dead culture, and there's very little that is vital. And the few things that are vital are the things that are going to keep humanity surviving, the best part of humanity. Tooney interview, p. 28 It’s a planet of the dead for the dead, but there are a few of us who are still alive, and we're going to build a new world whether they like it or not. Of course they are going to try to resist that. Tooney interview, p. 28 European man was a part of a pagan, tribal culture and I believe that is the natural order, and that is the way we should be living. People tend to forget that the western world, the heresy and the legacy of the western world is barbarism, we are barbarians.
