Quotes
I liked [the film] la mstanza del figlio [The Son's Room], I don't like him as an actor [Nanni Moretti], he ruined Calm Chaos. It's too politicized and labeled. It is the megaphone of the left and its clichés.
[To Nobel Prize winner Sheldon Lee Glashow, regarding the controversy over Luciano Maiani] If Maiani and his friends are, as you say, highly esteemed stellar luminaries throughout the world, why have they never won the Nobel Prize?
L'On.
Let us remember with Socrates, that never does the majority decide what is right but only what suits it for this reason we accept democracy.
reply to comments received following his attack on Maiani, 6 March 2008.
[Addressing journalist Alessandro Gilioli] I hope that as soon as your son has access to Facebook he will be intercepted by pedophiles and that they will meet him at school.

I have a teenage son with teenage friends, and for them Berlusconi is a legend because they say he's very nice: he's a politician they understand, he speaks a language they understand, he tells jokes, and he's also super powerful sexually. Kids admire him, like most Italians who wish they were like him. How many Italians at 70 dream of going with women from morning till night? Very few! For those who love him he is a myth and he is also winning over young people.

Today's kids [...] see him [Berlusconi] as a person who built an empire from scratch, managed to make Milan, who when he took it from Serie B, one of the most important teams in the world, become one of the most important teams in the world, there's no doubt about that; It became a political party and became the first party in Italy to win elections over and over again. [...] Then they say: he's also someone who at 74, at their grandparents' age, has all these women. They don't go and thin out who all these women are... For today's kids it's a myth, a myth!

Affitto, telefono, luce...
[Referring to his parliamentary salary] No, the salary is too high, no! I have a secretariat in Rome that I pay, two secretariats in Puglia that I pay... Do you know what it's like to keep a secretariat? Rent, telephone, electricity...
My salary is the minimum! Because I cover all the expenses I have with my own money. Expenses that rightly serve to maintain the relationship with the electorate.
A worker when he goes home left his problems in his little office. When I go home I still have my work problems. My phone is always on, it's always been that since 1994 and anyone can reach me, Saturday Sunday or holidays. But I'm not the only one working so hard. But unfortunately you think that everyone is a wash because this is the message that passes.
