Batman: Dead End

thumb|right|We both wear masks. thumb|right thumb|right Batman: Dead End is a 2003 superhero fan film that premiered on July 19, 2003 at San Diego Comic-Con, and on the Internet shortly thereafter. The film crosses over the DC Comics superhero Batman with the Alien and Predator science fiction film franchises. Written and Directed by Sandy Collora, based loosely on the comic book "Batman Versus Predator" by Dave Gibbons. Dialogue [The films opens with Batman in his cave, from close-ups, getting suited up, whilst news reports are heard on the radio] Newscaster #1: Murder and mayhem in Gotham City; evil mastermind 'The Joker' has once again escaped from Arkham Asylum... Newscaster #2: [newscaster is drowned out by another voice] This is Shannon Comb reporting from Arkham Asylum, where the scene can only be described as grim. Two guards brutally beaten, and criminal mastermind 'The Joker' has escaped from his maximum-security holding cell. At this time Dr. Harley Quinn is still missing. Police Chief James Gordon could not be reached for comment. [Batman puts on his cowl and gloves and heads off to get to work. Fade to black. Title of the film is shown] [Cut to a shot of Gotham City around the Empire State Building, police sirens can be heard in the backdrop. We cut to Batman, in the rain, in a posed position on a ledge next to the bat signal in the sky. He suddenly sees The Joker running away. He jumps down to catch him, but notices he isn't there. Batman jumps again, his large cape slowly moving up as he stands and walks] [Whilst Batman searches for The Joker around a dark alley, he suddenly hears Joker's maniacal laughter. Joker, out of the darkness, pops out and punches Batman in the face with a knuckleduster] The Joker: What's the matter, freak? Can't take a little joke? [Batman looking at his bloodied lip, punches The Joker and kicks him to the ground] Batman: You're pathetic. The Joker: [laughs] Oh, that's rich coming someone who runs around in the dark, wearing a cape, and a mask. [Batman pulls Joker up] Batman: [sternly] We both wear masks. The Joker: Look at my face. This is who I am. My mask is permanent. You have a choice. Batman: You made your choice a long time ago, Joker. The Joker: NO! You did this to me! And you condemned me to that Asylum like some bastard child that you refused to take responsibility for! That's why you'll never kill me, Bats. You made me... Daddy! Batman: A criminal scum like you [pulls Joker up] made me. [throws Joker against a wall. Joker begins laughing hysterically, they both look sternly at each other] Batman: You're going back to Arkham. [Joker laughs loudly, suddenly out from above, a Xenomorph pops out, grabs The Joker and drags him up (possibly killing him).
