Quotes I am not exposing my thighs to get the attention of men like many might be thinking. I am exposing my thighs to celebrate my feminity and to show the greater composition of Batswana women that a thick black woman can dress how they please. Women from these villages have given testimonies that they have removed themselves from detrimental conditions. Gender Inequality is something I was exposed to at a tender age as there was a lot of it around when I grew up. Women suffered as they remained home while their husbands went to look for jobs in the more developed areas. It was then when Ms Heart decided that when she grew up, she was going to make a difference. I was always a poet during prize giving ceremonies and other local ceremonies we had. I choose to be the scapegoat for African women to make society aware to the fact that there is more to a woman than her size. I am exposing my thighs to show that thick black women have nothing to be ashamed of. There is more to a woman than her size ÔÇô Berry Heart,SundayStandard,(8 March 2015) The beauty of a woman is not limited to her physical attributes; there is more to it, the heart and the mind. There is this general perception that models represent beauty, which is very wrong. Is a pregnant woman not beautiful, is a mother of one not beautiful? Most men target these young models and young girls as they define beauty, which has brought problems in African societies. I grew up in Botswana where women had no say and were looked down upon. There were no women in high positions in government or even women chiefs were not allowed but I told myself that I would not  just sit and watch this. I have travelled to South Africa, Lesotho, the US, Senegal, Reunion Island and Madagascar, working with artistes on this campaign. Botswana poet castigates beauty pageant organisers,Heraldonline,(8 July 2013) It is my duty to keep the standards, meaning I only have room for improvement and not to go and lower them. Zim, Senegal and US gigs for Berry Heart, MmegiOnline, (21 Juy 2013) I feature in books and international anthologies and this has nothing to do with beauty or being sexy, Child this is now about Educational background. Even if one day I have wrinkles I would still be relevant in the literature department. I will still have CNN, international TV’s and radio stations and magazines looking for a feature. Now that’s relevance! Fame needs backup of qualifications! Learn from the best. One thing that keeps me relevant in the arts industry is my brains. And I urge all kids that are inspired by the BERRY HEART Brand to get their qualifications. It’s not because of my sexy body or my awesome sense of fashion or my craziness that gets me going. It’s a combination of all of which the foundation is my Educational background.
